Britain
experienced the third largest increase in migrants of any major nation
last year, a new study revealed today as European ministers held a
summit to tackle the refugee crisis. International
migration to the UK in 2014 hit 558,800 - a 24 per cent increase on
2013. Only Israel and the Czech republic saw bigger rises. As
concern over the flows of people across international borders grows,
the OECD think tank also warned that Europe must prepare for 1million
people to claim asylum this year."
